BipolarLab, a premier centre for the treatment and education of mood disorders, is pleased to announce the support for a fully funded PhD position in collaboration with the University of Athens.
Position Overview:
The ideal candidate will be a psychology graduate with a master's degree in a relevant field of clinical psychology or a psychiatry trainee with experience or interest in bipolar disorders.
Research Focus:
The study will involve the processing and analysis of data from bipolar patients collected over the last 20 years of BipolarLab's operations.
PhD Dissertation Objectives:
1. Development of AI based Methodology:
Develop and enhance the methodology for analysing clinical data (fuzzy clinical data) using recent advanced artificial intelligence technologies.
2. Understanding Bipolar Disorder Trajectories:
Improve the understanding of the progression of bipolar patients across the spectrum of bipolar disorders and identify predictive factors.
3. Evaluating and Developing BipolarLab’s Integrative Treatment Model:
Further examine the effectiveness of BipolarLab's integrated therapy model and contribute to its ongoing development.
Requirements:
Psychology/Medical degree recognised by DOATAP.
MSc degree recognised by DOATAP.
Licence to practice as a psychologist in Greece.
Opportunities for the PhD Candidate:
The PhD candidate will have the opportunity to participate in BipolarLab's training programme and contribute to its ongoing clinical work under the supervision of Dr Yanni Malliaris and BipolarLab’s senior associates.
This is a fully funded position, providing financial support throughout the PhD tenure.
